Merry Christmas

This Christmas season has been like most. The busyness of the season seems to over ride the true meaning of the season. Going beyond the normal seasonal distractions the nation and its people seem to be in a financial dilemma that has many people seeking answers. Some are looking to God and some are looking to the Government for the answers.
Now the answer comes from God but I want to remind you that the answer doesn’t lie in the manger. That manger does lie along the path but it is not the final destination. At Christmas we celebrate the birth of Jesus but it is only through his death and resurrection that we find the answers to all of the questions that we have.
I encourage each of you to join me in seeking the answers to the troubles that are haunting everyone. Let’s join the shepherds and wise men and worship at the manger but let’s not stay there but continue on to the cross and the empty tomb. There we can find the answers to everything we are seeking.
