The Root of Sin

For the past couple of months I have been running a John Deer 644J 4WD Loader grubbing out cedars and mesquites. Man I thought that I was doing a good job. I started out with good moisture and there were some big old trees with long roots coming out. I was really proud of myself. But after the mesquites started leafing out I started to notice trees that didn’t die and I was really disappointed with the results. I probably got about 90% or more but still it bothered me.

This reminds me of sin. When we have sin in our lives the roots start to grow. They go deep and they hold on with all of their might. And when we finally decide to get rid of it we have to remove all of the roots not just the top part or it will grow back.

Ouch, I guess I had better go back and let God start grubbing on those roots again.
